Yes, we believe meeting your DJ before your wedding will ensure a successful wedding day.  We can work with your busy schedule and meetings can be done in person or through FaceTime or Zoom.

THE MUSIC

We’d like to pick a lot of our music. How does that work?2020-10-12T23:46:59+00:00

We have a sophisticated online planning portal that will guide you through the process of selecting your music. We encourage your input on the music we play.  You can also tell us the songs that you definitely don’t want!

We’re not good at picking the music, can you help?2020-10-12T23:47:14+00:00

Absolutely! You can give us as much, or as little, input on the music. With our years of experience, we are able to read the crowd, take requests, and keep your dance floor packed.

How large is your music library?2020-10-12T23:47:41+00:00

Simple answer: We probably have every song you could imagine.  If we don’t have it, chances are we can get it.

Does the DJ take any breaks?2020-10-12T23:47:55+00:00

No, they are working throughout your entire event.

What happens if our DJ is sick or has an emergency?2020-10-22T23:28:39+00:00

We always have contingency plans in place and have never had a no-show.

Do you act as the “emcee” and make all of the announcements?2020-10-12T23:48:25+00:00

Yes, we become your Master of Ceremonies (MC, emcee) and will take care of your schedule, announcements and handling of the event timeline. We’ll handle it all so you can relax and enjoy yourselves.

We’ve seen a few obnoxious DJ’s. You’re not one of those, are you?2020-10-12T23:48:48+00:00

LOL!  Our couples describe us as engaging, polished and never overbearing. You’re the star of the show, and we’d never dream of stealing your spotlight.

What if no one is dancing at our wedding?2020-10-12T23:49:03+00:00

You’ve probably been to one of those weddings, haven’t you?  That doesn’t happen when you choose Skuba Entertainment. We will work with you in advance to determine the music tastes of you and your guests.  During your reception, we’ll read the crowd and do whatever it takes to keep your dance floor packed.

Will you take requests from our guests at our wedding?2020-10-12T23:49:22+00:00

We can, but only if you would like us to.  It is generally a good idea to give the DJ some flexibility to rely on his experience in reading the crowd. We have found that the best recipe for a packed dance floor is for you to pick some of the music, provide a ‘do not play’ list, and let your DJ handle the rest.

What if there are songs we do not want played?2020-10-12T23:49:38+00:00

You’re welcome to provide a ‘do not play’ list.  If you don’t want it, we won’t play it.

THE DAY OF LOGISTICS

Will there be wireless microphones?2020-10-13T00:57:15+00:00

Yes, and they can be used for speeches and toasts.

Do you have any special requirements?2020-10-22T23:29:41+00:00

We need access to electric, of course. If your reception is outdoors, it’s best to have a covered area for the DJ. If there are a lot of stairs or difficult vehicle access, we’d like to know that in advance.

What’s your backup plan for equipment?2020-10-13T00:57:44+00:00

Stuff happens. We always have backup equipment, just in case.

Do you display signs or advertising?2020-10-13T00:57:56+00:00

Absolutely not!

We will be dressed appropriately, typically in black.

How about drinking and smoking?2020-10-13T00:59:11+00:00

We’re there to make your wedding a success, not to act like one of your guests. Your DJ won’t be smoking or drinking alcohol.
